These days trading your business cards is the basic and most common way to network face to face in the business world. Not only are you giving a potential client your contact information but your giving them a impression of who you and your company stand for/are. Beyond your contact information how can you make your business card sell?

Put yourself in their shoes…

  • Is it valuable?
  • Does it solve a problem?
  • Does it look and feel professional?

Take advantage of the extra real estate on the other side

I still don’t understand why some business owners fail to use the back side of their business card. These days its common sense to use that extra real estate to do more. Some examples are..

  • reminders for appointments
  • 5 second sales pitch
  • Survey, redeemable for a free gift
  • Punch card for frequent clients
  • Valuable coupon
  • URL to a special web page targeting business card recipients
  • And much more. Most of all it will give your potential client a reason to hold on to that business card.Need help thinking of a good marketing idea worthy of people wanting to keep your business card? Well first place to look is your own past marketing attempts. Think about what campaigns gave you the most response?…Those are the ones that got your customer attention the fastest and think about how you can take that idea and turn it into something you can offer with your card.Business Cards are one of the cheapest ways to advertise! Not only do the cost less than a couple pennies each, depending on how many you buy. But you can have them on you at all times. Plus they are free to pass out! Many times if a person isn’t interested in your service they will keep your business card and pass it onto a friend who might be. Just think if you pass out 100 cards? or even 200!

Business card marketing success, hand those cards out wherever and whenever you can. The more you hand out the better chance you have of gaining another customer, and ultimately, earning more money for yourself and your company.
